POD Cup Winners

The winners of the successful first P. O. Domingo Cup held at the Wack-Wack Golf and Country Club’s (WWGCC) West Course last September 23 were announced by Tournament Director Roman F. Floresca during a simple awarding ceremony at the WWGCC’s West Grill. They are: Pag-Ibig Fund’s Joel Trinos, overall champion, earning him the privilege to have his name as the first to be inscribed on the P. O. Domingo Cup perpetual-symbolic trophy; Arnel Lagarejos, lowest gross and most no. of birdies; Luis Paredez, Class A category champion; Jeremy Parulan and Congressman Mauricio Domogan, 1st and 2nd runners-up; Greg Roja, Class B category champion; Rene Garcia and Ronnie Ortile, 1st and 2nd runners-up; Pete Corales, Class C category champion; Rene Aguas and Dr. Boy Villareal, 1st and 2nd runners-up.


Ladies’ division: Philippine Daily Inquirer Assistant Business Editor Corrie Narisma, champion; CSP International Commodities Corp. President Tess Concepcion, 1st runner-up. Fun holes winners: Pete Corales, nearest to the pin, 5 feet (hole # 11); Mon Mateo, most accurate drive (hole no. 5); Parulan, longest drive with 295 yards (hole no. 13).
